BLACK RIVER ENTERTAINMENT SIGNS WILLIE JONES
NASHVILLE, TENN. (Oct. 17, 2018) — Black River Entertainment announces the signing of songwriter/artist Willie Jones.
Upon signing Jones, Black River’s Vice President of Publishing Dave Pacula shares, “Willie Jones’ music is undeniably fresh and unmistakably Country. He’s a game changer, and we could not be more excited to welcome him to the Black River family!”
A native of Shreveport, LA, Jones grew up loving Country music and remembers wanting to be a Country music artist as early as age 11.
“Country music is something that I’ve always been really passionate about since I was a teenager,” said Jones. “Growing up, I didn’t have anyone in country music to model myself after, as far as someone who was writing from my perspective or that looked like me.”
Jones continues, “Even though it still surprises people that I write country music, and they encourage me to change lanes to R&B or hip-hop, I took it upon myself to stick to my guns and not give up on my dreams. Now with Black River, I have the opportunity to inspire others with similar backgrounds, to stay true to themselves and chase theirs.”

earlier this summer. Jones released his first single, "Runs In Our Blood" on all streaming platforms, as well as an official music video that premiered exclusively on TheBoot.com.
