BLACK RIVER PUBLISHING’S JOSH KERR EARNS FOURTH NO. 1 SONG WITH FOR KING & COUNTRY’S “GOD ONLY KNOWS”
Claiming the Top Spot on Both Billboard and Mediabase Christian Charts
NASHVILLE, TN (April 12, 2019) — Black River Publishing’s hit songwriter and producer, Josh Kerr, earns his fourth No. 1 song this week with for KING & COUNTRY’s current single, “God Only Knows” claiming the top spot on both Billboard and Mediabase Christian charts. The multi-chart No. 1 was penned by for KING & COUNTRY’s Joel Smallbone and Luke Smallbone, along with Josh Kerr, Jordan Reynolds, and Tedd Tjornhorn.
"'God Only Knows ' is such a special song to be a part of,” shared Kerr. “I'm thrilled to see it hit the #1 spot but it's even more amazing to see the impact it's having on people's lives. This song is why I chose to be a songwriter."
Additionally, Kerr is credited as co-writer on for KING & COUNTRY’s song, “Control,” also featured on their Burn The Ships album.
Newly signed to BMI, the CMA nominated producer co-wrote and co-produced Keith Urban’s Top 20 hit, “Never Comin’ Down,” co-wrote and produced Abby Anderson’s current single, “GOOD LORD,” and co-wrote Cassadee Pope’s “If My Heart Had A Heart.”
Kerr initially signed to Black River Publishing in 2012 and re-upped his contract in 2018.

Josh Kerr is a CMA nominated hit-songwriter and music producer at Black River Publishing based in Nashville, TN. In 2018, Kerr earned a CMA nomination for Album of the Year as a co-producer for Keith Urban’s GRAFFITI U. His multiple US No. 1 songs include for KING & COUNTRY’s “God Only Knows,” the RIAA Platinum-certified “My Girl” recorded by Dylan Scott, and the RIAA Platinum-certified “Love Me Like You Mean It” and “Dibs” recorded by Kelsea Ballerini.
