Hannah Kerr
While still in college, Black River Publishing songwriter and Christian recording artist Hannah Kerr has already made a name for herself in the Christian music world. Kerr co-wrote the Top 5 hit “Your Love Defends Me” with Matt Maher and received a “Most Played Song Award” at the ASCAP Christian Music Awards in 2018 for the song. At Christian radio now, “Split the Sea” is Kerr’s debut single from her forthcoming project on Black River Christian. Additionally, she has released two full-length albums, Overflow and Christmas Eve in Bethlehem, and an EP, Emmanuel. She has also worked with other Christian artists including Mark Hall, Matt Hammitt, Josh Wilson, Meredith Andrews and more. The Buffalo, New York native began singing at 5 years old in church and soon learned this could become a career for her.
